GOP Leader

Is it me..or does this feel like 2008 all over again!

Here you had the ” I have a Dream,” bold and bright Barack Obama as the eager President ready to right the wrong of the last 8 years, under the oppressive rule of the establishment.

I still remember the sight of the helicopter with President Bush taking off as not a single person in the crowd waved or shed a tear.

Everyone had such relief that the nightmare was finally over, and we had a qualified, intelligent, capable President that had a plan to turn things around and get America headed back to glory!

I remember seeing President and First lady Obama at the inauguration:

Mydreamalive.com shows one of the iconic pictures of 2009. The Inauguration Day Oath of our 44th President

To this day, I get goose bumps thinking about what this moment meant for the entire African-American race, and for America!

Now…

It has been 4 years, and I believed in my heart that more would be done to rectify the gross racist and unequal laws that remain on the books in the judicial system. I also truly believed that the corrupt and broken public educational system would finally be overhauled. I believed, that America would right the ludicrous tax code, and the top 2% would be required to pay their fair share. Finally, I believed that immigration reform would take a higher precedence and President Obama would get a chance to put pen to paper and usher in a revived policy on Immigration.

There is still much work to be done!

How in the world is Mitt Romney, Santorum, or Gingrich going to compete against the lasting legacy of President Barack Obama.

They would have to compete with the same earth shattering, America altering campaign that elected President Obama in 2008.

Perhaps it’s me, but I just don’t see it.

I don’t think that:

  1. The Economy – Which is picking up steam
  2. Contraceptive – Rush Limbaugh, need I say more
  3. War on Iran – Did someone say War??? Again????
Are enough to change the course and minds of the American people!
I don’t believe the points above compare with the agenda and priorities before mentioned.
Now, the 1000 pound guerilla in the room is obviously the religious beliefs of all (3) three GOP candidates.
Mitt Romney – Mormon
Rick Santorum – Roman Catholic
Newt Gingrich  – Lutheranism, Southern Baptist, Roman Catholic ( What????)

Will America elect a Mormon to be President of the USA? It is a question yet to be answered?

Now, Mr. Santorum and Mr. Gingrich profess that they are both Roman Catholic.

This is very interesting on so many levels! But I will not get into that right now.

Even though, Mitt Romney is leading in delegates, I think that out of the (3) three GOP candidates, Mitt Romney will have the hardest time competing against an entrenched Christian President.

I know President Obama is looking forward to debating with Mr. Romney on so many levels.

I am again taking back to 2008, when Senator McCain won the GOP and went head to head with President Obama.

I didn’t think the Republican’s had a chance then, and I don’t think either candidate will offer an America shifting ideology that will make President Obama supporters change course now!

So..Again I say, where is the real challenger?

One Nation Under GOD

This has been a very trying week for me.

So excited about the news from President Barack Obama that Osama Bin Laden is finally dead.

I don’t usually get excited about a “Murder” because that was what it was.. but I know how GOD feels about sin and the people who continue to blasphemy his Holy name.
So I was happy that again the bad guy loses and all is right in GOD’s Universe.
Have you noticed that no matter the situation or movie the bad guys always gets it in the end!
Then the mess came out about..”Is he really Dead” and if he is DEAD then they should show the body!
I am really irritated about this whole debate.
Has anyone ever seen Hitler’s Body? Ok.. how about Attila the Hun??
We don’t even think about seeing them because guess what… they are DEAD!
Here we go again with a Republican Donald Trumpism.. where is the Birth Certificate???
Get a grip and get a clue!
Mr. Trump…where is your real hair??
Now you Trump  can spend his time on more important unsolved matters like… where the hell is Tupac and Biggie?

Come on people.. It is Mr. Bush that said that Hussein had weapons of mass destruction that were proven to not be there.
A war to capture Hussein for some reason, was on the way and the American public believed it hook line and sinker.

We have to be a people, a country that believes that the office of President will not call a press conference to make a bold face lie to the American people.
We have to be a nation that does not take this opportunity to divide the country into people who think he is dead and people who do not think he is dead..

why… FOR RATINGS!!
FOR   POLITICAL  ADVANTAGE!!

The Republicans have no one to run in 2012. They have no one that can beat President Barack Obama so here they go again with the Divisive Tactics.
The same Tactics that have worked in the past to confuse the American People.
No more.. we need answers on topics of great importance.
How about…JOBS.. EDUCATION..DEFICIT..HEATH CARE..NEW ENERGY

Can we all get on the same page for once.
We need answers on real problems and we need a country a leadership that can lead us into the next century.
Perhaps two parties are too much for our country??

I know we need to trim the Government and get the spending dow.
I know we need to raise the taxes on the rich to Clinton 2000 years.
We know those two need to happen to have a chance in making it to another generation.
In history ALL great nations fall!!
They fall because of stupidity, selfishness and Power Struggles

Are we going to have the same fate? Or are we finally going to create a nation that can live together in peace and harmony
Perhaps I am asking more than we are able to do.
But I have always been told, that if you ask.. you can receive..

WE can do this anything is possible.

I still believe we are an Amazing nation!

You do NOT have a good relationship with Blacks!

Wow.. here we go again.   A Billionaire that
“THINKS”  ( Ohhh boy does he THINK)
that he has an inkling of an idea of who and what we are as a people!
It is funny even hilarious to me that he would even imply that he could have taken away votes from Barack Obama in 2008!
This is like you know who saying ” Those People” that gave him a quick reality of who we are and what happens when you get us excited!
You can not come to us when you are looking for votes, after decades of neglect and non relationship.
You can not come to us, after spending no time in Black communities or even inviting a “Real Black” over to the house.
I don’t think Mr. Trump even knows a line from the most popular Lil Wayne song!
Come on.. we are not going to be fooled again to thinking that a Billionaire even understands the average wealth of a Black American or the graduation rate from High School of a boy in uptown New York.
We are not going to let the Republicans pretend to have our best interests at heart when people like  McCain think the average person has an income of 5 Million.
I am one that believes that you should not even get to run for office if your net worth exceeds 1 Million dollars.
We are supposed to be a Democracy… for the people and by the people.
Your Mr. Trump are not one of the people.
That is not your fault, you get the great distinction of being a self-made Billionaire, but you also should not be given the great responsibility of representing the common man.
We saw just recently with Meg Whitman running for Governor of California ( Thank God she did not win!) what would happen if a Wealthy person was to take office and run the Government strictly as a business.
You can not do that!
Government is more than profit and loss!!!
This amazing incredible country needs to get back to the foundation of what we were created to be.
A place where money would not decide..your education, or your ability to start a business or the state of your income for the rest of your life.
Like England where if you are born into Noble blood then you are set, but if not you are pretty much screwed.
We want a Democracy.. the Democracy that the founders believed was possible.
You Mr. Trump are the sign of the Capitalist propaganda that exists today. You are a sign of the disease that has infested our country.
I can tell you that NOOO Mr. Trump you do not know how much we detest the possibility that you would even be considered for Presidency!
You go run your business and make Billions more…
But.. please leave the Government to those who have a blood in their veins and a REAL HEART!!
Civil Rights Movement
Civil Rights Movement

Black History Month has traditionally been all about the  Civil Right Movement and the categorizing that place and that time as the whole black experience.

Now that Barack Obama is President and the glass ceiling is shattered, I think that we need to move from 100 Civil Rights.
We have a long and powerful History of Great People!
Believe me when I say, I take nothing away from the Civil Rights movement, if not for the movement then we would not be where we are today. However; before the  Civil Rights struggle their were African American People that were finding a way to make it, and to succeed in society. Their were many people that through business, athletics, art, entertainment and armed forces, were able to make a dent in the Iron Veil.  The questions remain, who are they? and how did they do it?
The latest how did he do it?  Barack Obama, came up in complete oblivion to every African American tha was not in the Chicago political scene.
In 2008, does how could a man come through the system and not make a wrinkle! Then run for President and win, without really focusing on the African American community?
We need changes to Black History!
We need at least to change:
  1. Current Movers and Shakers
  2. Up and Coming Movers and Shakers
  3. Education of Historic Contributors
  4. Way to comment and
  5. Inspirational unity and ways to show it

We have a whole month to really Inspire our Race to move forward but I don’t think we are truly capitalizing on the opportunity.

Let’s engage conversation on ways we can move forward.

We need change!

President Barack Obama

President Barack Obama

No longer just a dream

No longer just a dream

Mydreamalive.com ” Clothes & Products that Inspire, motivate and educate”

Today I Inspire to see Barack Obama get the keys to the White House!!

President Bush will go down as the absolute worst president ever!

President Nixon who has been dead since 1994 can finally rest in peace.

Bush stole the election in Florida and it came down to one state because of

the FEAR tactics that the Republican Party used. Al Gore was the peoples

President, clearly winning the poplular vote. America was reintroduce to the

Electorial college in that election and it showed just what a joke the

Electorial college is. Why shold it come down to middle america? I am

not saying it should be dominated by the big states either. If the big

states were the way to the Big House, then the little states woud be ignored.

Well here comes Barack Obama, a constitutional Harvard Lawyer that knows

how to play the game the way it was meant to be played. They will probably

find a way to change the rulesafter they lose the Pres election.

Bush and his croonies have almst Bancrupt the nation, with the gas prices,

tax welfare for the rich, and going to war with a country that did not attack

us on 9/11.  America is sick and tired of the lies and games that these sick

tyrants play. Americans will show just how sick we are when the vote comes

through today for Barack Obama. They will not be able to steal this one. He

has big money on his side.

So Bush needs to put an ad on Craigslist.org and start looking for movers.

I am sure C. Rice will be ther to hep him!

Oh.. and please hurray up.. Mchele needs to get the last of the

measurements!!  lol

It won’t be close   Barack Obama  310      Johh McCain    220

Middle Class Tax Share Set to Rise
Studies Say Burden Of Rich to Decline
by Dana Milbank and Jonathan Weisman

Three successive tax cuts pushed by President Bush will leave middle-income taxpayers paying a greater share of all federal taxes by the end of the decade, according to new analyses of the Bush administration’s tax policies.
As critics of the tax cuts in 2001, 2002 and 2003 have noted, the very wealthiest Americans — those earning $337,000 or more per year — will be the greatest beneficiaries of the changes in the nation’s tax laws. And, as administration officials have argued, low-income taxpayers will also enjoy a disproportionately lighter tax burden.

Conservatives and liberals alike agree that Bush’s tax policies have shifted more of the tax burden to the middle class.

The result is that a broad swath of lower-middle, middle- and upper-middle-income people, as well as some rich Americans, will carry a greater share of the federal tax burden after the laws passed in the past three years are fully implemented. While taxes are scheduled to decline for all income groups, those earning more than $28,000 but less than $337,000 will end up paying a greater share of the taxes than they did before the changes.

The findings, by two groups that have been critical of the Bush administration’s tax policies, add a new wrinkle to the increasingly contentious debate over the fairness of Bush’s tax policies and which income groups would benefit most.

Liberal groups have argued that the Bush administration is penalizing the poor while rewarding the rich. In part to answer those critics, Republicans have targeted the poor with expanded tax refund checks for families with children, a new 10 percent tax bracket and a larger earned-income credit for married couples who are poor.

The result may be a surprise to both sides: By the end of the decade, the middle class will be picking up a greater share of the government’s tab.

“It’s hard to get a lot of progressivity at the very top,” said R. Glenn Hubbard, the architect of Bush’s most recent tax cut proposal and a former chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers. By slashing taxes on dividends, capital gains and inheritances, the cuts ensure that tax burdens will no longer rise consistently with income, as they would with a perfectly “progressive” system. “But,” Hubbard added, “we’ve very much retained progressivity overall because so much money was dumped into the bottom rates.”

The two studies focused on separate issues. Citizens for Tax Justice examined the percentage changes in total federal taxes that would be paid by different income groups through 2010. The Tax Policy Center, jointly run by the Brookings Institution and the Urban Institute, looked at the share of federal taxes that would remain for the various groups once those changes are fully phased in. But the studies reached similar conclusions.

Citizens for Tax Justice found that for the lowest fifth of taxpayers — those earning below $16,000 — federal taxes would fall 10 percent between now and 2010, while federal taxes for those in the second quintile — earning between $16,000 to $28,000 — would fall 12 percent. At the other end of the scale, the decline for the top 1 percent of taxpayers — those making $337,000 and up — would be 15 percent.

In contrast, for taxpayers earning between $45,000 and $337,000, the decline would be 7 percent, less than half the cut reaped by the very wealthy.

Citizens for Tax Justice assumed that those provisions in the tax laws scheduled to expire before 2011 would expire as scheduled, although administration officials have said they are determined to make those changes permanent.

The Tax Policy Center assumed that all proposed tax cuts would become permanent. It found that the share of federal taxes paid by the top 1 percent of taxpayers would drop to 22.8 percent of the total in 2011, from 24.3 percent today, while the share paid by the lowest 40 percent would fall to 2 percent, from 2.2 percent.

All others would have a slightly larger proportion of the federal tax burden in 2011 than they do today. For families earning between $22,955 and $80,903, their share of federal taxes would rise from 25.5 percent to 26.1 percent.

Both groups included all federal income, payroll, corporate and estate taxes; Citizens for Tax Justice also included excise taxes.

Treasury Department officials said the studies are skewed because they include Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes, which the tax cuts did not seek to reduce. Pamela F. Olson, the assistant Treasury secretary for tax policy, said that if Social Security taxes are included, then Social Security benefits should also be measured. “Then you would have a very progressive system,” she said.

Instead, Olson pointed to the Treasury’s analysis of the impact of successive tax cuts on individual income taxes only. In that analysis, all taxpayers with less than $100,000 in income are shown to be paying a smaller percentage of their income in taxes than they did before Bush took office. Households earning $100,000 or more are now paying 73.3 percent of federal income taxes, up from 70 percent.

Figuring out whether tax policy benefits the wealthy or the poor is a hotly disputed subject. Liberals favor a progressive tax system in which households pay higher tax rates and a higher share of their total income as they climb up the income ladder. By that measure, the Bush tax cuts have made the tax code less progressive. By 2011, the poorest taxpayers’ after-tax income will have risen only 0.3 percent, according to the Tax Policy Center, while household income for the richest 1 percent of taxpayers will have jumped 8.6 percent.

Conservatives say the better measure is which group winds up paying a greater proportion of the tax burden after the tax cut. The rich may get the largest dollar benefit from the tax cuts, but the top 20 percent of households will still be paying 71.5 percent of all federal taxes in 2011.

Conservatives and liberals alike agree that Bush’s tax policies have shifted more of the tax burden to the middle class. Kevin Hassett, a conservative economist with the American Enterprise Institute, said it “makes complete sense” that this would happen as a result of Bush’s policies.

Changes such as the elimination of the estate tax and the reduction of the stock-dividend tax disproportionately benefit the wealthiest 1 percent, who have the largest amount of assets and capital. Those at the other end of the income spectrum benefit disproportionately from targeted tax cuts such as the child tax credit.

With the biggest gains going to the wealthiest and to low-income taxpayers, those in the middle inevitably get a higher tax burden because they don’t qualify for the targeted tax breaks that go to the poor or the investment-related tax breaks that go to the wealthy. “The middle class is predominantly labor income,” Hassett said.
